OutfitDay Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026. This version takes effect upon its first public publication.

1. Operator and scope

OutfitDay is operated by 北京简豆科技有限公司, whose English name is Jiandou Technology Co., Ltd. Contact anjie@jiandou.com for privacy questions and rights requests. This policy covers wardrobe management, outfits, wear records, accounts, optional weather and membership. Processing includes temporary use and transmission, not just server storage.

2. Information and purposes

Wardrobe content: photos you choose to upload, garment attributes, outfits, wear records and notes, used to save, display, synchronize and suggest outfits. Avoid photos or notes containing faces, addresses, identification documents or unrelated people. Images may contain personal information; we do not perform facial identity recognition.

Accounts: depending on your chosen sign-in method, email or phone number, verification codes, Apple sign-in identifiers and credentials; optional profile information such as nickname and avatar is used for profile display and management. You need not use every sign-in method or complete optional profile fields.

Membership: Apple transaction identifiers, products, validity periods, signed verification information and necessary usage counts support entitlements, prevention of duplicate billing or abuse and quota administration. We do not receive your full bank card number or Apple Account password.

Optional weather: with permission, current location is used with Apple WeatherKit and geocoding to obtain weather and a city; a city you enter is also used for queries. Denying location affects location-based weather, not wardrobe management.

Support: contact details, questions and attachments you send are used to respond. Online services process network addresses and request information needed to communicate; this information is used only to deliver the service, troubleshoot and maintain security.

3. Permissions and optional AI

The camera captures content you choose, the system photo picker selects images, and location supports optional weather. Permissions are requested when needed and can be changed in iOS Settings. Refusing optional permissions does not block unrelated functions. Saving a garment uploads the relevant image. When you actively request optional AI recognition, the backend processes the selected image or its link and returns suggested attributes. Manual entry is available without AI. Our backend provides garment AI recognition by calling the official DeepSeek API directly. Under the current interface design, our backend submits the selected garment image’s HTTPS link and prompts needed for recognition to obtain suggested garment attributes. Login verification codes and Apple transaction credentials are not required as recognition inputs. DeepSeek processes related inputs and outputs under its applicable API terms and privacy policy.

We do not ourselves use uploaded images to train AI models. DeepSeek’s retention and possible training use of API inputs and outputs are governed by its applicable terms and policies. We do not promise that its service provides zero retention or no-training restrictions by default. Do not submit sensitive personal information. You can use manual garment entry instead of AI.

4. Legal grounds and recipients

We process necessary information to perform the account, wardrobe and purchase services you request; obtain consent for optional processing where required; and retain necessary records to meet legal obligations. Separate consent is obtained where required. Consent for one purpose is not blanket consent for others. In jurisdictions recognizing legitimate interests, security processing on that basis requires necessity and a balancing of rights; it does not replace consent required under Chinese law.

Information provided to service providers must be limited to what the function requires and subject to appropriate safeguards. Apple processes sign-in, weather and purchases under its applicable terms and privacy policy. Alibaba Cloud hosts account and garment content; DeepSeek receives the images or links and prompts you actively submit for recognition; Apple processes information required for the sign-in, weather and purchase features you choose. We do not publish your wardrobe except with appropriate authorization or where legally required or necessary for a lawful emergency response. New purposes, recipients or public-sharing functions require appropriate notice and any legally required consent.

5. Storage, retention and security

Garment images and account data are hosted on Alibaba Cloud. Wardrobe content may also be cached on your device, and credentials and settings may be stored on-device. AI recognition transmits selected images or their links to the official DeepSeek API.

Retention is limited to the shortest period necessary: wardrobe content is generally kept while you use the service and should be deleted or anonymized following deletion or account closure. Transaction, dispute and statutory records are retained only as necessary for those obligations. Residual backup data is cleared through backup rotation and deletion processes. Records retained for statutory or backup purposes are not used for new business purposes merely because they remain stored. Necessity is assessed by account activity, deletion requests, unresolved disputes and applicable legal duties; data is deleted or anonymized when no longer necessary. If law or technical constraints temporarily prevent deletion, processing is limited to necessary storage and protection.

We apply reasonable transmission protection, access controls and security management proportionate to the risks. Absolute security is not guaranteed. Legally notifiable incidents will be addressed and notified as required by applicable law.

6. Your choices and rights

Use the App to view, correct or delete wardrobe content, edit available profile fields and request account closure under Account and Security. You can also email anjie@jiandou.com for access, copies, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or complaints, including where an in-app action fails. Deleting your App account or uninstalling does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Where applicable, you may request portability, restriction, objection, an explanation of processing, or an appeal of a denied request. We request only identity information necessary to handle a request, respond within applicable statutory deadlines and explain refusals or permitted extensions and available remedies. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing; withdrawing optional consent does not remove basic services. You may complain to a competent regulator.

7. Age and children

The service is primarily for users aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not request children’s names, ages or profiles or seek to collect their personal information. People under 16 should not independently register or submit personal information. Users aged 16 to the local age of majority must meet local requirements for use and purchases, including guardian permission where necessary.

If we discover information collected from someone below the applicable age requirement, we will stop the relevant processing and delete it as required, or process it only where lawful and all necessary guardian authorization and safeguards are in place. Guardians can contact the email above. Please do not upload photos or records containing children’s personal information.

8. Additional information for mainland China and the United States

The service primarily serves mainland China and the United States. Rights depend on your location, statutory applicability and the processing involved, not the App or policy language. Mandatory protections in other jurisdictions remain available where applicable.

Mainland China: the Personal Information Protection Law provides applicable rights to be informed, decide, restrict or refuse processing, access, copy, correct, supplement, delete, withdraw consent and request explanations. We generally handle personal information rights requests within fifteen working days, or sooner where legally required. Sensitive information, disclosures to other independent controllers and international transfers require applicable necessity explanations, notices, separate consent and other statutory steps. Acceptance of this policy does not substitute for required separate consent.

United States: where state privacy laws apply to us and the processing, you may request access, information about collection and disclosure, correction, deletion, portable copies and applicable opt-outs from sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising or profiling producing legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell wardrobe content or use it for targeted advertising. This policy does not authorize third parties to use submitted content for advertising unrelated to the function you requested.

Email anjie@jiandou.com to submit a request or appeal. Authorized agents may act where permitted, subject to appropriate verification of authority and identity. Where the California CCPA applies, requests to know, correct or delete generally receive a response within 45 days; any legally permitted extension will be explained. Other state deadlines apply where relevant. Mark an appeal email “Privacy Appeal.” You may complain to your state attorney general or competent regulator if you disagree with the final decision. We do not unlawfully discriminate for exercising privacy rights.

This policy does not promise support for every browser tracking signal. Where legally applicable sale or sharing opt-out signal requirements, including Global Privacy Control, apply, we handle the signal as required by law. Recipients are limited to the functions, purposes and lawful grounds described here; new purposes or disclosures receive the notice and authorization required by law.

9. Changes

Material changes will be notified through the App or another appropriate channel before taking effect. We will seek fresh consent where legally required. Continued use alone is not consent to new processing. Contact: anjie@jiandou.com.
