Drowsa does not collect personal data through the app or operate our own servers for your shift or sleep plan data.
This app is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your shift patterns, sleep windows, caffeine cutoffs, nap plans, light cues, and app preferences are processed locally on your device unless you choose to share information with us, such as by sending an email.
Data created and used by Drowsa is stored on your device:
Deleting Drowsa generally removes the app's local data from that device. Data stored separately by Apple Health, iCloud or device backups, exported calendar files, shared messages, or emails you sent to us may need to be managed through those services.

Drowsa may rely on Apple services and device features, such as HealthKit, Apple Health, notifications, App Store purchases, sharing features, and optional iCloud or device backups controlled by your Apple settings.
If you choose to enable HealthKit integration:

These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is transmitted externally.
Drowsa may let you export a calendar file or share a sleep-window message. Exported or shared content is created only when you choose to use those features and may include planned sleep times, caffeine cutoffs, or related recovery guidance. Once you import or send that content through another app or service, that third party's privacy practices apply.
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, feedback, device context, or shift pattern details. We use that information to respond to you, improve Drowsa, and keep ordinary business records.
If Drowsa offers paid features, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card number or Apple ID password. Apple may provide limited purchase status information so the app can unlock paid features.
Drowsa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
